Maduro was indicted in 2020. The 2020 indictment, filed in the Southern District of New York, charged him and 14 other high-ranking Venezuelan officials with narco-terrorism, corruption, and drug trafficking. He had many off ramps offered over the last several months and refused them. Now he has been brought to face justice. I’m not understanding the controversy. All those upset now by current events should have been upset by the initial indictment. No one had a problem with the liquidation of Osama Bin Laden who was responsible for fewer US deaths than the narco terrorism of Maduro. It is the right of US politicians to speak in favor of Maduro but it’s not the best look I think.
