Fin Rooke joins The Yellows

Tiverton Town are delighted to announce the signing of talented forward/midfield player, Fin Rooke from Taunton Town.

Fin joined The Peacocks at the start of this season after an impressive stint at our neighbours, Willand Rovers, where notched up double figures in both goals and assists.

Fin has spent a part of this season, dual registered with Taunton Town and Sidmouth Town, recently linking up well with Zack Williams, providing an assist for the Tiverton Town player in Sidmouth’s match against Buckland Athletic, scoring for himself in Sidmouth’s 0-5 dismantling of Saltash United.

Asa Hall, Tiverton Town manager had this to say on the signing;

‘Fin was on our radar as soon as we knew we would be taking the roles into this season, and Stevie and I are really glad to get it over the line and bring Fin to The Slee Blackwell Stadium this season.’

Going to say;

‘It’s clear that we’ve got a focus on bringing in young, local talent and Fin ticks all those boxes for us’

Tiverton Town would also like to thank Taunton Town for their assistance with this signing.

Welcome to Tiverton, Fin Rooke 💛

Taunton Town is pleased to announce the signing of Fin Rooke following his departure from Willand Rovers this summer.

Rooke becomes Manager Richard Luffman’s fifth summer signing, joining the club after a hugely successful season in which the energetic midfielder was named Willand Rovers’ Young Player of the Season in May 2025. He initially joined Willand Rovers in the summer of 2021 from Honiton Town and rejoined them for the 2024/25 season.

Speaking to the club, Rooke commented:

“I’m delighted to be a Peacock, as it’s something I’ve wanted to do since last season. I came here initially, and we agreed it would be best for me to go to Willand, where I had a great time and scored some goals too. I’m really excited for pre-season and can’t wait to get going.”
