Dick Vitale is currently battling lung and liver cancer, yet he STILL took a few minutes to talk to me.
Just a remarkable human being.
He's in Des Moines for Unity Point's annual Rally Against Cancer. @KCCINews@DickieV

Giants rookies were sent by the vets on coffee run in Wrigleyville, in full unis. Not nearly as R-rated as ‘90s when Giants vets made rooks spray paint privates of General Sheridan’s horse and invited Chicago cops to burst into clubhouse to arrest them. Details in this story:
Two Hall of Famers were among the 160,000 troops who took part in the Allied Forces’ invasion of Normandy during D-Day, which began on June 6, 1944.
Yogi Berra was a gunner’s mate on the USS Bayfield, and Leon Day delivered much-needed supplies to Utah Beach with the Army’s 818th Amphibious Battalion.
Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day – the Allied landings in Normandy, which significantly hastened the countdown to the Nazis' collapse in World War II. It is one of the most important moments of unity among the defenders of life in human history, and it was less than a year until the peoples’ aspiration for freedom and the hope of peace prevailed in May 1945. It happened then. We are working to make it happen again today.
And although yesterday in Petersburg another cynical order to continue killing was issued for the army trying to destroy our freedom, history has seen this before. The Nazis also had their own hopes after D-Day. But freedom still wins. And even in the darkest circumstances, people find ways to come together to protect life.
I thank all those who are now helping to protect the values that prevailed in World War II. I thank everyone who is defending life. Glory to Ukraine!

I said in February the 49ers’ biggest 2026 adds would be:
Nick Bosa
Fred Warner
The take got a lot of blowback but it was correct.
A 13-win team also added:
Mike Evans
Osa Odighizuwa
Christian Kirk
Dre Greenlaw
De’Zhaun Stribling
Kaelon Black
Romello Height
That’s a lot!

Tonight marks only the second time in the #Knicks' nine NBA Finals appearances that they have held a two-game series lead.
The first occurred in the 1973 Finals when they led the Lakers three games to one — a series New York would win 4-1 for their most-recent NBA title.
