Independent journalist and YouTuber Sean Paul Reyes @longislandaudit, known online as "The Long Island Auditor," was handcuffed and charged with trespassing in June after filming outside Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association headquarters in Brentwood, New York.
PBA President Louis Civello personally placed him in cuffs and had his vehicle towed while he was detained. Civello and the union say the arrest was lawful because Reyes ignored repeated orders to leave, but Reyes argues the property doesn't meet the legal definition of "enclosed" required for the charge to hold.
Reyes has launched a campaign calling on Tierney to drop the trespassing charge against him and open an investigation into Civello's conduct instead. Over 7,000 people have signed.

@SuffolkPBA Police Union President Louis Civello needs to be held accountable for his unconstitutional actions! Every generation is tested by whether it stays silent or stands up when power is abused. If you believe no one should be above the law, now is the time to make your voice heard. Real accountability doesn't happen because people hope for it. It happens because ordinary people refuse to look away.
Stand for transparency. Stand for the Constitution. Stand for justice.

They see us as livestock.
Zero respect.
