Another explosion on European territory, this time at an ammunition plant in Italy. It is being investigated, but in conjunction with the growing number of sabotage incidents across Europe, it is becoming increasingly difficult to treat these events as isolated coincidences.

Taken cumulatively, they point to an ongoing Russian campaign against European states and infrastructure. If the Italian explosion proves to be sabotage, Europe needs to stop describing such attacks as merely “gray-zone” activity and treat them for what they are: attacks by Russia on a European country.

The same applies to the Kh-101 missile that exploded in a field in Poland, the strike on an apartment building in Romania, the recent appearance of armed drones at Leipzig/Halle Airport, the string of assassinations and assassination attempts, sabotage against railways and other infrastructure, the cutting of undersea cables, and Russia's use of Novichok on British territory.

Maybe it is time for Europe to take a leaf out of the Russian playbook and escalate to de-escalate.

BREAKING: The US Government officially posts its largest July budget deficit in history, at -$432 billion, due to an acceleration in federal spending.

Interest on US debt rose +$26 billion from last July's levels to an alarming $118 billion for the month.

This puts total interest expense for FY2026 up to $1.17 trillion in FY2026.

As a result, interest expense has officially surpassed both National Defense and Medicare spending.

In other words, the US government now spends more money just on interest than it does to fund the entire US Military or to provide healthcare for seniors.

We cannot afford higher interest rates.

This administration came in promising to fix this and even created a department to reduce spending! Then they proceeded to murder U.S. soft power, halt critical medical programs, rampage through the sciences and basically make everything worse.

And in return, it allowed the U.S. Government to post record deficits. Great!
