@thatgirlkristyn Unless you can figure out a way to stop, or turn back time, embrace and revel in every stage of your life. Don't focus on "the good old days" but rather how to make the most of the present moment. It's liberating!
@thatgirlkristyn Thanks, I had to pretend to be interested in season tix just to chat with a real person who gave me the code. Shouldn't be this difficult. 🤣
@MrPhilYOW That's why I said "mostly." 99% of the negative comments here are emotional reactions and aren't backed up by logical reasoning. I respectfully disagree with your wording "clearly." Judge the entirety of his work to date and, in the future, judge the results of his recent moves.
Deep breaths Sens fans. The base is crumbling, and we are July 1st. Try to support, not tear down, it's liberating. Try being a GM for a small market Cdn team that's on most NTLs & is not a FA destination of choice. He's fishing in a much smaller pond than others. #GoSensGo
@b1g2nchi Correct. And, based on his calculated moves, with the hand he's been dealt, if success doesn't come, he'll be gone, and someone else can try to do better. I'm reasonably certain that none of us so-called fans on this platform will be considered for the job.
@MrPhilYOW I can state an opinion on this platform just as you can. You, and many others, choose non-stop negativity born mostly out of ignorance, and I choose positivity and support. You do you, & I'll continue to put myself in his shoes and try to understand why he's done what he's done.
@Senators1165 Ok, no worries then. Great comeback, BTW. Just keep chirping him non-stop when he's the one that truly understands the nuances of every move he's made and why he couldn't make the moves you think he should've made. You're a great fan.
@senstalk_ It's perfectly fine to be critical, but both of you have become so negative, it's off-putting. Try to flip the script and be a positive influence on the fan base.
@winemaker1960 1. G wants much more than his actual worth to the team. 2. His footspeed has declined so much that he can't play at the pace that the team's identity demands. 3. He's concluded that he can get more 💰 elsewhere on a team that has a better chance at the Cup. 4. Florida again.
@SteveWarneMedia Sens goal should always be to win the Cup, but realistically, the goal should be to make the playoffs again, in a better position, so that we can win a round. G is likely asking for more than his worth to the team & he hungers for a last chance at Stanley. Florida is my guess.
@Senators4Life@senstalk_@PierreVLeBrun The pace of his play, though. You can have all the skill in the world, leadership on and off ice, but if you can't keep up in this league, you're pooched. Depending on where he lands, you can spin it that a HOFer will have a better one last chance at a cup. Florida is my guess.
@senstalk_@PierreVLeBrun Try to remove the emotion and look at the facts. It is a statement on the state of the Sens, yes, but an encouraging one. They want a lineup, top to bottom, that can play with pace and grit. G has become a face-off specialist, that's all. I'd pay $1M for that, no more.
@senstalk_ Sorry, but G can't play with the pace we need anymore. On the leadership front, it's time to let others come forward. Sandy, Coz, Stü, Pinner all will step up, they're ready. Chabby is the glue. #GoSensGo
