Following on from our joining week before half term, the children in Bees applied their learning independently in the deconstructed role play. We had snow sledges, trains and cars! @abcdoes#independentlearners#skillbasedlearning
The children in Bees class competed their own snowman drive today! Just their knowledge of numbers to draw their own snowman, we had so much fun #activelearning#snow
The squirrels have eaten all our apple bird feeders so the Butterflies worked really hard to make another tasty treat for them. Threading the cereal on the string was tricky but they kept at it until the job was done!
The children in Butterflies Class had made bird feeders in forest school but before we got chance to take them home for the birds we had a couple of visitors!
In Maple Class we've been exploring a variety of books from our reading corner to enhance our love for reading. The children enjoyed discussing their books and we are looking forward to starting our new book 'The Children who loved books'.
The EYFS children came into school this morning with a woodland scene to support their story telling of our new traditional tale of the week βHansel and Gretel.β It was a huge hit!
'Sycamore Class have written instructions to teach the children in school about using sparklers safely. They shared them with the children in Reception Class this afternoon and sent a copy home for the all the children at Longshaw to share with their families.' @LRPCLFRS
