One thing I always tell high school football recruits is this: your Twitter/X bio should not be treated like a random social media bio. It should be built like a quick recruiting snapshot that helps a college coach immediately identify who you are, what your profile looks like, and how to get more information on you

A strong bio should make it easy for a coach to find your name, class year, position, high school, state, height, weight, film link, and the best contact information

The goal is to remove as much friction as possible. Coaches do not want to dig through a profile just to figure out what class you are in, where you go to school, how big you are, or where your film is. If they land on your page, they should be able to get those answers quickly

I also think recruits need to be smart with contact information. A recruiting email should absolutely be easy to find, but I do not believe every kid needs to publicly post a personal cell number in a bio. Unfortunately, we live in a time where people will prank call players or pretend to be college coaches. There is nothing wrong with putting “cell available upon request” and directing schools to your high school coach or recruiting contact as well

At the end of the day, your bio should work for you, not against you. Keep it clean, accurate, current, and easy to read. Make sure it points coaches to your film, gives them the key information they need, and helps them contact the right people quickly. A simple, organized bio can go a long way in helping your recruiting profile look more serious and more coach-friendly
