Some of the art for twitter post lore was outsourced. Commissioned artist copied the MTG artwork. As soon as the project lead was made aware they took it down and made a canonical explanation for why.

Not for profit = not an issue

Trusted teams are one of the most scarce commodities in this space.

When you have a team who are known and involved with some beloved projects already (eg. @cryptohootsNFT and @omgkirbyDAO), you eliminate a lot of the riskiest elements of launch.
