Axl Rose, knee wrapped, leaning hard into the mic stand. Getting hurt never kept him off a stage for long. When he injured his foot jumping off a speaker at the Ritz in New York in May 1991, he told the crowd, "Have you ever heard the expression 'break a leg'? Well, I think I just did," then played Alpine Valley eight days later in a cast. That tour ran from January 1991 to July 1993, behind two albums released the same day, Use Your Illusion I and II, which debuted at No. 2 and No. 1.

🎤 Axl hurt his foot at the Ritz in May 1991 and was back on stage eight days later in a cast. What's the toughest show you've seen a singer push through? 🎤 👇️

Just finished The Heroin Diaries. Gotta say, this book is sad and tragic yet also kind of informing. It teaches you not to ever think about doing drugs. Great book, @NikkiSixx! 10/10.
