The thirteenth anniversary of the 2013 chemical attack on areas in Eastern Ghouta is being commemorated, leaving a large number of victims, including Palestinian refugees, according to documentation by the Action Group.

Among the Palestinian victims were members of the Waked family, who lost 18 members in the town of Zamalka. These included Sheikh Muhammad Suleiman Waked, known as Abu Atif, his sons Mahmoud and Youssef, their wives and grandchildren, and several relatives from the Ghazi family.

According to documented data, Palestinian losses in the attack were not limited to members of the Waked family. Palestinian refugees from other families also perished, including members of the Abu Zeid al-Hourani family, in addition to approximately nine other refugees, bringing the number of documented Palestinian victims in the attack to around 36.
