What is the purpose of the token?

We have had this question a lot and we briefly answered it in a reply but here is a clear explanation.

As The Loom is constantly scraping MILLIONS of posts per day one can imagine how expensive it becomes. That is where token fees are used, a large portion goes directly back into API costs to keep systems running.

As for the utility of the token for holders?

As time goes on we want to roll out direct tools dedicated holders of the token are able to use, one that is currently in the works is our meme search feature.

What will "meme search" do?

- Feed The Loom a few links of the meme
- and find out its ENTIRE history.
- Where it originated, how viral is it?, is the meme fading out, when was its peak?

Get an entire web created for your research in a matter of moments.

What is Loom Radar?

For those who missed previous posts on this, Loom Radar essentially removes the need to manually search for info about a meme and attempt to find the "correct" coin.

On every documented meme within The Loom it curates a large list of potentially connected coins based around that meme.

This means if you see a meme and you want to find the coin, it is quite literally found in the same place to minimize any manual research.

That is it in simple terms, deep explanation coming soon.

Here's how it will work:

Spots the meme. The Loom already tracks memes live as they rise, with search data, platform posts and a full research trail behind every one.

Checks for coins. Loom Radar cross-references each trending meme with platforms like @Pumpfun to see whether a coin already exists for it.

Matches it properly. Not just the name. It checks tickers, timing and even the coin's image against the original meme, so you know whether it's the real match or a random copycat.

Shows the timeline. When the meme started, when it peaked, and when the first coin appeared, all side by side.

The meme data comes first. Radar connects the dots.
