@thegoldenmuzzy Dave Morrison's been there for decades. Metcalf and Wickenheiser have been through 3 GMs, Pridham through 4. Nobody should have that kind of job security with such poor results
@OpenIcelit@davidalter Keeping a guy because he just got here is a poor way to run an organization that has had zero results. Start fresh, bring in your own people.
@BobBark11503563 Was he the Director of Amateur Scouting? No.
Should we give the credit to Leach's Toronto picks to any random Amateur Scout they employ too then?
@heistfantasy@BobBark11503563 Draft Quinn Hughes and then draft the players traded for Quinn Hughes. Pretty good lol.
Leach was second in command with Dallas so his track record is drafting two guys who have had good D+1 years.
@frankcorrado22@nylanderthews Yup. No doubt Mark Leach is a smart guy, but Judd Brackett's track record as the main guy is much more extensive.
Hire smart people, trim the fat.
@imDazzer@JFreshHockey@andystrickland It was negotiated. Both parties said yes to the NTC, often for reduced salary for the player.
Nothing's stopping a team from saying "no" to a trade request.
@Takhar77 The fact Brackett did the post-draft interview tells me he probably had more say in this draft than we think.
In any case, Brackett's track record is much more extensive than Leach's
