@crookedcourses Keep a note pad magnet and pen on your fridge. As soon as you empty a bottle/package/etc write it on the notepad. I find paper & pen works better than my phone.
@NikkiCatania First step would be to move them inside somewhere. My county puts ours in the library and the fire departments and other government buildings.
@jenawithonen Ugh. And I assume gym management didn’t care when you told them? My gym actually has a sign that says “don’t approach people, especially if they have headphones”. Like, I hate that they have to spell it out.
@jenawithonen@Shredded_teat My dad lives 20 miles north of downtown Tampa and in the almost 30 years he’s been there he’s not been directly affected by any of the hurricanes. Let’s see if his luck holds - he’s not in an evacuation zone.
@NikkiCatania My dad lives 20 miles north of downtown Tampa. He’s not in an evacuation zone, but I’m still concerned about the wind. Helene didn’t seem to affect them at all, interestingly.
On Wednesday someone put a flyer on my car for a neighborhood block party Saturday. Flyer and linked SignMeUp website had no location listed. Am I just supposed to wander around with potato salad until I see a group of people?
@WestLoopTom I recently left my wallet in a cab in San Francisco. The cabbie returned it to the valet at the hotel where he picked me up. Grateful is an understatement.
@libbyjones715 I recall going to work and helping field calls from concerned parents. I think I only had one (evening) class and our prof was from NY and let us leave. But, yeah, no overall response because I think no one knew what to do.
