@senatorshoshana It would be helpful anytime someone proposes a tax like this to remember that all taxes are paid by people. So really the question is “should people pay taxes related to use of AI, which people, and how much should they pay?”

@scottlincicome I like to periodically remind people that I was once assessed a penalty by the IRS for “failing to pay the amount due” by the deadline. On the very form the IRS sent me to notify me of this penalty, they helpfully listed that the “amount due” that I “failed to pay” was “$0.00”
