For those that don’t know my back story.. this is it. My dad dying on Sunday has triggered so many feelings. If you read this.. you will understand why.

When someone openly speaks about being suicidal due to depression, people tell them they’re being negative, seeking attention, or that their feelings aren’t valid. These same people then can’t understand why the victims didn’t speak up or come to them for help before their death.
Can we please stop saying “time heals all wounds.”
It doesn’t.
If trauma isn’t processed, it doesn’t disappear it festers.
That’s why so many adults are living with depression, anxiety, addiction, and pain they can’t fucking explain.
Suicidal thoughts don’t always sound like “I want to die.”
Sometimes they sound like:
• “I don’t want to wake up.”
• “I can’t do this much longer.”
• “I don’t feel built for life.”
• “I’m tired of being in pain.”
• “I just want everything to stop.”
These aren’t attention seeking thoughts.
They’re distress signals and you deserve support.
A suicidal mind is not selfish.
It’s exhausted.
It’s hurting.
It’s overwhelmed.
It’s carrying pain most people will never see.
Fighting battles no one hears..
Depression isn’t always falling apart.
Sometimes it’s:
Doing the bare minimum.
Avoiding everyone.
Letting your space get messy.
Not replying because you don’t have the energy to pretend.
Wanting everyone to leave you alone.
Not because you hate them.
Because you’re barely holding yourself together.
Because you’re fucking exhausted.
Trauma isn’t just “bad fucking memories.”
It’s: forgetting whole chunks of your past.
It’s: reacting like your life’s in danger when it’s not.
It’s: exhaustion after nothing even happened.
It’s: never feeling safe, even in the safest of places.
Stop telling people to “just move on.”
Some of us are rebuilding our whole nervous system.
So fuck you.
When someone says…..
Your trauma made you stronger.
No my trauma made me traumatized.
It made me weak and vulnerable.
It made me wanna die.
It pushed me to places I never wanna see again.
And opened doors that have been nailed shut.
I made myself strong.
ME.

Well Myles, the hundreds of friends wearing Lightening McQueen t-shirts & bellowing to “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was a big nod to how loved you are. You coped with more in your 10 years of fighting cancer that no child should have to go through. 😢💔

Still can’t believe Myles fought for so many years against cancer and has now lost his battle. The sadness is overwhelming . #Myles&Archie @LFC@WBA#Forever20
