Stop letting people use your age to make you comfortable with being behind.
“You’re 21.”
“Relax.”
“You have time.”
Don’t listen to them. Keep chasing your goals like you’re already 30+.
It’s like placing a bet on a game and, just a few minutes into the match, you’re already desperate for your pick to come through, only for someone to tell you, “Man, relax. The game just started.”
That urgency is not always impatience. Sometimes, it’s ambition.
This is truly heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. 🥹❤️ A selfless act like this reminds us that humanity still exists. Choosing to risk everything just to save another life is a kind of courage words can hardly describe. 🫶🙏
Day 2: I’ll have to repay the 3 I missed, maybe another time, or I’ll reduce it to 40. This thing is not easy o. But I’ll make sure I don’t miss a single day this September. My body dey shake sha 😂
The reasons why I think a man decides to marry:
When he finally feels financially buoyant.
When he believes he’s mentally ready.
When he gets a woman pregnant and feels marriage is now his only option (some women deliberately get pregnant to pressure a man into marriage, and I strongly disagree with that mindset).
When he believes the woman has earned her place in his life.
And, of course, when the fear of andropause starts knocking.
Some men don’t marry because they’re ready.
They marry because something eventually pushes them into it.
You see, when we talk about gratitude, it goes far.
I don’t know if common sense doesn’t come with some people from heaven.
Your market value is 3k, someone just bought it for 1 milly , and your “thank you” is still on whispering mode.
One fckn Million Naira.
Just like that.
And you couldn’t even break the scale of your decibel? Haba!
Some of you genuinely need to understand that gratitude is not just saying “thank you.” Sometimes, your reaction should communicate the magnitude of what someone has done for you.
As a giver myself, I don’t care what anybody says. If I give you something, no matter how little, I want to see that you appreciate it.
Not because I need you to worship me, but because I’m human.
I want to see the joy. I want to feel the appreciation. I want to know that what I did meant something to you.
And guess what? That makes the giver feel fulfilled too.
We are all human beings. Blood is running through our veins. The person giving you that money also has emotions.
So when somebody gives you 1 milly in naira for something worth 3kpa and your reaction is basically “thank you,” forgive me, but even the giver has every right to look at you like, “sho ya weyrey?”
I love what Peller did.
Some people might call it petty.
I call it teaching somebody a lesson in gratitude.
Omo alaimore Onibaje oshi.
Some people have experienced so much abuse of their kindness that they eventually become hardened, not because they stopped caring, but because they became tired of being taken for granted.
I’ve always believed that if you have the capacity to help someone, you should.
There are people who genuinely need what you can give, and if you choose not to give, that is perfectly okay too. Kindness is a virtue, not an obligation.
But we shouldn’t allow the entitlement of a few people to convince us that kindness itself is a mistake.
You can learn to set boundaries without becoming bitter.
You can become wiser about who you help without becoming less compassionate.
Don’t let a few entitled people make your good heart stop beating.
