Started the week off with a big loss. I didn't just break a streak of wins, I broke a streak of discipline. I started noticing my discipline slipping towards the end of last week, but I managed to recover. This was a costly setback. Back to square one we go. Process over profits.
Honestly, pretty disgusted with myself for this one. Could have and should have walked away sooner. Yes, conditions haven't been the best. But this was on me, not the market. Took a few losses then started aggressively sizing to win it back. Rookie mistake, really.
54% win rate is not great and I have intentions to bump this up. My short term focus has been on ensuring my winners are larger than my losers. So even if I have a < 50% win rate, I'm still profitable. But I plan to come back and work on the win rate after I'm content my R:R.
For example ES moves well during NY and London sessions but not quite as much during Asia session. I started trading NKD and Japanese Yen Futures during Asia and sticking to ES during NY. Asia will always have thinner books and move slower but I'm still catching some great moves.
