さよならララの最終回について言及しないつもりだったけど、やっぱりもやもやするので1個だけ

監督曰く「自分としてはすごくシンプルなつもり」との事で、最初からララという少女が成長する物語を描いたつもりで、その着地点がララの自立ということだったんだろうけど、それなら間口を「本当の愛を探すこと」としたのはあまりにミスリードが過ぎやしないかと

間口が「本当の愛さがし」なのに着地点が「自立」では急ハンドル切り過ぎですわ。しかも12話でいきなり。
せめて途中でララが「自分はどう生きたいか」を自覚的に模索していたなら、ああそういう話なのねと納得出来たものの、終始「本当の愛を探さねば。時間がない」ばかりでおおよそ自立する話とは思えない。
それなのに12話でいきなり「自立します」では肩透かしが過ぎる。いやもうちょっとそう思った過程や心理を描いてくれたなら、納得出来たのに

個人的には途中から「本当の愛＝掟」から脱却するという終着点になるのは、想像出来たしそれは理解出来る結末なのだけど、いかんせん急ハンドルで12話でぶっ込んで来たから「うーん」と納得し難くなってしまった

私は本作は百合売りしてないし必ずしもガールズラブエンドでなくとも納得感のある終わり方なら満足出来たんだけど、「愛」をぶん投げて「自立」しますで「恋愛関係ありませんでしたー」エンドでなんじゃそらと思ってしまった
自立する話ならなんでそもそも恋愛でミスリードしたん？　出来ればその過程を描いて欲しかったなあ

@ezuki3401 Adolescence of Lara movie. The epilogue had elements of sequel bait, like Lara's distant behaviour, her eyes being hidden, and the merfolk waking up at any moment.

@UnknownDriver17 Call me crazy but this whole epilogue smells like sequel bait to me, the way Lara acted super distant, her eyes being hidden, the merfolk can heal in a year on in 10, all of that seems like setup for a sequel that probaly may never happen.

I see her rejection of "true love" not as her discarding romantic feelings, but as her holding the preconceived idea that true love comes from duty, an obligation to her family and kingdom.

After thinking about the end of SayoLara with a cool head, it makes a lot of sense, and it's thematically beautiful. I got what they were trying to say but the execution could've been better, especially the train scene.

@Panatrent2 imo, el capítulo fue bueno y malo al mismo tiempo, Lara dejando Shiga atrás para poder ser independiente es consistente con la temática de la narrativa, es solo que la ejecución se siente súper rara después del timeskip, Lara se siente súper desconectada de todo

@UnknownDriver17 Personaly, I have issues with the execution. I think Lara leaving is thematically relevant and makes sense, but I find it weird how the direction made her look super detached after the time skip, never showing her full face until the end, then obscuring it. And the Luca scene

I know no one cares about arbitrary ratings, but here it is anyway: Sayonara Lara 7/10. Not the worst original, but not the best; it needed at least 4 extra chapters to set things up. The second half of the finale is sooo rushed

Lara leaving at the end to become independent makes sense, but the execution wasn't good. Lara felt so fucking apathetic during the whole scene.
