The population of men is much lower than that of women…. To add to that:
- Jail cells are filled with men.
- Every street corner is a man on drugs.
- A lot of men are also in homosexual relationships.
- A lot of men are married or in committed relationships.
This possibly accounts for maybe 30% of the male population but now to make matters worse for the ladies;
- They don’t want an unemployed men, we live in a country with high unemployment.
- Socioeconomic factors mean that fewer men graduate college.
- To add to that affirmative action empowers more women in relation to men. 😩… we’ve gone through half the population of men.
The outstanding 50% is filled with gents who are just not good people, some should really be in jail. They want no commitment, they are enjoying the advantage they have over this situation, they are out drinking every weekend & enjoying the younger women, your 2000’s… the population of good guys left who have jobs and are suitors for the impossible standards that women have set are probably about 10%.
So all you ladies are fighting over the same 5 rich guys who fit the delusion you have built up in your head. STAY WITH YOUR MEN, THERE ARE NO GOOD GUYS LEFT FOR YOU OUT THERE!
BOARD ROLES
Fasttract Your Way Through Committees
I was 23 when I was nominated to serve on FNB's EE committee. I had always been vocal about (in)equality in the workplace and had a reputation for challenging the status quo. Little did I know my manager was paying attention.
This experience taught me that it is important to start early and be proactive in your career. If you are interested in serving on a board, start by serving on committees. This will give you the experience and skills you need, as well as the opportunity to network with other professionals and experienced board members in your organization.
So, what are Board Committees?
Board committees are smaller groups of board members responsible for specific oversight and governance areas. Common types include audit, remuneration, corporate governance, nominating and governance, and risk committees.
In addition to these common types of board committees, there are also many other specialized committees that may be created by a board depending on the company's specific needs. For example, a company in the technology industry might have a technology committee, while a company in the healthcare industry might have a patient safety committee.
How to gain a seat on a board committee:
Consider your professional expertise and how it aligns with the specific committees on the board of directors. For example, an auditor would be a natural fit for the audit committee.
🔓Identify committees that are relevant to your skills and interests.
🔓Reach out to your manager or HR department to inquire about any openings.
🔓Network with committee members and board directors to express your interest in serving.
🔓Highlight your skills and experience in your communications and interviews.
🔓Once on a committee, be active and engaged, and volunteer to take on leadership roles and assignments.
🔓Go the extra mile to contribute to the committee's success and build relationships with other committee members and stakeholders.
🔓Make a positive impression on the committee's chairs and members.
🔓Attend board-related events to learn more about board opportunities and network with other professionals.
Next week I will share other ways you can use to navigate your way to your first official Board Role.
Don't forget to share and let's get more young professionals and women on boards

UBank and Constantia Insurance were placed under Curatorship whilst 3Sixty Life was on curatorship and they were liquidated or taken over within 3 months. We are here 22 months later but they won’t let go until they can fabricate reasons to liquidate us. Well, we have decided that 2 years of curatorship is too long and we will assist them with liquidation. We have a board meeting of the group coming up and we have a resolution for us to trigger a liquidation so that we protect policyholders and the R500million of cash that will be left in 3Sixty Life and we hope they will cooperate. Despite this, our funeral services group will be fine and we will find a white owned insurance company to underwrite us and be good blacks who don’t challenge the status quo.
