Is Tochukwu Nnadi the answer to the super eagles midfield conundrum? I think he can be a valuable piece in a new midfield but the AFCON 2026 Bronze medalists need more!

TRIBUTE: REMEMBERING "HECTOR"
LATE FLIGHT LIEUTENANT OP IDONIJE
Some warriors leave footprints that time can never erase. Flight Lieutenant OP Idonije, fondly known as "Hector," was one of such men.
On 22 March 2020, while deployed under Sector 2 of Operation Lafiya Dole in Yobe State, he made the ultimate sacrifice when his team came under attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists. In the service of his Nation, Hector answered the highest call of duty and never returned home.
An indigene of Owan Local Government Area of Edo State and son of the late Major Idonije, he carried on a proud family tradition of military service with courage, honour, and dedication.
Flight Lieutenant Idonije joined the Nigerian Defence Academy as a member of the 59th Regular Combatant Course and was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force as a Pilot Officer on 12 September 2012. He was promoted to Flying Officer in February 2013 and later to Flight Lieutenant in September 2016.
A skilled Combat Helicopter Pilot, he served with the 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group, Enugu, where he flew the Agusta 109 helicopter. Known for his professionalism, calm disposition, and commitment to duty, he belonged to a generation of young officers who stood on the frontlines of Nigeria's fight against terrorism.
Though his life was cut short, his sacrifice was not in vain. He lived as a patriot, served as a warrior, and died in the line of duty defending his country and fellow Nigerians.
Today, we remember Hector not with sorrow alone, but with gratitude and pride. His courage, service, and sacrifice will forever remain part of the proud history of the Nigerian Air Force.
To Flight Lieutenant OP Idonije, thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Nigeria remembers.
May Almighty grant his noble soul eternal rest and continue to comfort his family, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest in Peace, Hector..
I want all Nigerians to remember the incompetence & lack of strategic thinking from Mr. Gusau & the entire @thenff board that led to missing the World Cup. The same man will try to run for re-election this year. There must be consequences for failure & he cannot stay 🇳🇬🦅
