My Husband’s Ghost Still Fuçks Me Every Thursday
He died eight months ago. Car accident. Clean. Sudden.
Every Thursday at 2:07 a.m. the bed dips on his side.
I feel the weight first. Then the cold. Then the way he used to touch me slow, knowing, exactly how I like it. His hands still remember every place that makes me shake. He doesn’t speak. He never did much talking when he was alive either.
He pushes inside me the same way he always did. Deep. Steady. One hand on my hip, the other covering my mouth so I stay quiet. I come harder for him now than I did when he was breathing. Maybe because I know he can’t stay.
When he finishes he stays buried inside me for a few seconds, the way he used to. Then the weight lifts. The cold fades. The bed is empty again.
I never told anyone.
Last Thursday I left the lamp on. Just to see.
There was nothing there. Only the dent in the mattress and the wet spot he left between my legs.
I still set an alarm for 2 a.m. every Thursday.
I still open my legs when the bed dips.
Who played the villain perfectly?
👑 Cersei Lannister
👑 Joffrey Baratheon
🐺 Ramsay Bolton
Three villains. Three different kinds of evil. All unforgettable in their own way.
Who delivered the most terrifying performance in Game of Thrones?
Daenerys: You don’t seem afraid of me.
Arya: Should I be?
Daenerys: Most people are.
Arya: Most people haven’t met you.
Daenerys: And what have you heard about me?
Arya: That you free slaves. That you burn people alive. That you want the Iron Throne.
Daenerys: I do what is necessary to break the wheel.
Arya: Funny. Everyone who wants power says they’re going to change the world.
Daenerys: And what would you know about ruling?
Arya: Nothing. I’ve never wanted to rule anyone.
Daenerys: Then perhaps you should be careful judging those who do.
Arya: Perhaps you should be careful trusting people who kneel.
Daenerys: Is that a threat?
Arya: No. If I wanted you dead, this conversation would be very different.
Daenerys: You think yourself dangerous, little wolf?
Arya: No. I think you have dragons.
Arya pauses, looking directly into Daenerys’s eyes.
Arya: I’m just wondering what happens when you meet someone who isn’t afraid of them.
Daenerys: Everyone is afraid of fire.
Arya: My father wasn’t afraid of dying. Look where that got him.
Silence.
Daenerys: You should leave.
Arya: That’s what Cersei said.
Arya turns and walks away.
Daenerys: Who is Cersei?
Arya: Someone who thought she was untouchable, too.
Apple iPhone vs Samsung design
Samsung experiments more. More finishes, more shapes, more foldables.
Apple iPhone stays tighter. iPhone duo Heavier, more consistent, more premium in the hand.
One changes every year.
One refines the same idea.
Some prisons have bars.
This one had a clock.
He counted the light on the wall until the light stopped meaning anything. After that, the counting stopped too. What remained was a heat behind the eyes that learned how to speak once the lights went out.
It never raised its voice.
It only asked what good the truth was doing him in there.
Some nights he answered.
Most nights the words came out smaller.
On the nights they didn’t come out at all, the heat simply stayed. It had nowhere else to go.
He started editing himself in the dark—cutting the parts of his life that took too long to explain, keeping only what could survive being ignored. The shorter version felt like mercy until it started to feel like theft. He could no longer tell which version of himself was doing the taking.
The heat offered him rest once.
Not rage. Rest.
Stop arguing, it said. They already decided what you are. Let the weight belong to someone else.
For a few breaths it almost worked.
Then he stayed awake and named the things still left: his mother’s hands, rain on a roof he no longer owned, the fact that his lungs still pulled air without asking permission. Small things. He held them the way a man holds a match in wind.
Years later the door opened.
The air outside smelled different.
People said his name correctly.
That night the heat arrived on schedule.
It did not need the cell anymore.
*You made it out,* it said.
*Does that mean any of it was true?*
He closed his eyes.
Somewhere a clock was still moving.
He could not hear it.
He could still feel every second it had already taken.
I was out on the water just after dawn when the light came down.
It wasn’t the usual spread of morning. It fell in one straight line, bright enough that the low clouds near it thinned and drifted off. Right under it the surface went flat. The small waves that had been moving lost their shape and just lay there. For a minute it was quiet except for the slow lift of deeper water farther out.
Then the horizon starts to darken.
It didn’t build like a normal swell. It kept stacking. One ridge after another, each one carrying the broken edge of the last, until what finally turned toward the light wasn’t a single wave anymore. Spray came off it in long sheets. Where the spray crossed the light it flashed white, then fell back heavier than it went up.
The light went into the water and didn’t stop. For a second the sea around it cleared—color pulling away until the brightness under the surface looked almost solid. The wave that hit didn’t quit. It climbed, found nothing wide enough to catch, and broke. The break didn’t empty what was behind it. It just showed the next ridge exactly where the light wouldn’t move. That ridge came in already knowing, higher where it met the column, louder when it fell.
The light didn’t lean. It didn’t spread either. Brightness ran down the falling water and disappeared into the troughs, then showed up again, the same, once the troughs passed. The sea got rougher. Every hit left the water behind it with a better sense of where it would meet resistance, and the water used that. Spray rose higher. For a moment the air between them looked lit. Then it dropped, and the light was still standing, and the next ridge was already forming.
I watched for a long time. The light stayed one vertical line. The water stayed a body that kept taking what it struck and bringing more. The place they touched kept changing—clearer where the light entered, darker where the newest ridge closed over it, clearer again after that ridge moved on. No clean line came back between sky and sea. The water never took the light. The light never emptied the water. They just kept going, each the way it had arrived, while the seam between them refused to settle into anything either of them owned.
Who do you think breaks first?
