2003 might be the worst year to be born.
2008 - parents lose the house
2013 - too young for bitcoin
2020 - senior year on Zoom
2021 - college in lockdown
2025 - graduate into a frozen job market
actually cursed
you know what, it’s huge that slovakia managed to fight for a medal when they are one of the teams that had the fewer nhl players. theres only so much you can do when you have to rely on your goalie and one player
A woman I know was followed home at night.
She didn’t run. She didn’t yell. She laughed at his jokes. Complimented his shoes. Pretended she was flattered by the attention. She gave him her number just to make it home alive. Blocked it the second her door locked behind her. Men call this “leading someone on.” Women call it survival. Men will never fully grasp the calculations women make in real time just to stay alive.
Finland played a much better game. Very critical errors and poor puck handling throughout all three periods
Still, a team with only 7 NHL players from a country the population of Minnesota made it to the bronze medal game twice in a row. What a great run!
very sad because the boys really deserved a medal for these olympics, but finns played really well so it was deserved and we are proud no matter what 🇸🇰
You have to feel for Samuel Hlavaj, the Slovak goalie who was so instrumental in getting his team to the final four in the first place. It's been a rough 24 hours for him.
