A bit surprised at how I’m enjoying making #embroidery ornaments this year. That’s why it’s so important to try new things, even if you think it might not work out. In some cases, it might. ☺️ #embroideryart#embroidered
If you read anything today, please read THIS incredible poem—“Ode to Self”—from Jessica Nirvana Ram in EARTHLY GODS, because my goodness, it most certainly will help.
“…here you stand in an endless loop of selves & you are not desperate / for anyone else.”

i love sesame street because it’ll be like “hey let’s learn to count to 5!” and then randomly shift to “elmo wants to help you understand that grief and loss is a necessary but beautiful part of the human condition”
when i like someone, i instantly start going too hard. i am too available, too giving, too loyal, too thoughtful, too reliable. i need to calm down and only be what someone is to me. that’s my problem. i always love how i want to be loved hoping it gets reciprocated
The Irish developed two really cool things as a result of their violent occupation by the British. One is empathy, which allows them to see themselves in Palestinians, and the other is courage, which allows them to tell genociders to get fucked.
modern literature is great but only Emily Brontë, feral, cloistered and being slowly poisoned, could have written the line “I wish I were a girl again, half-savage and hardy, and free.”
"I found a considerable lack of work after doing concerts for Palestinian children.. if that's the way it has to be, that's the way it has to be. If you support human rights, you gotta support them everywhere."
