I planned our entire trip to use carry-ons because @KLM is so bad at delivering baggage to its destination. Then they made us check our bags anyway in London and then proceeded to lose the bags. Not like your bag is in Amsterdam you’ll get it tomorrow, more like 🤷‍♂️.

@girdley Hopefully it's because they look good and are comfortable, but the bigger reason is that people want to be a part of something and repping the brand says you're on the team. If you want to spend 40+ hrs/wk somewhere and you don't feel like you are on the team. Re-evaluate.

@girdley Do you ever wonder if needing a formal process to get feedback from the people closest to you isn't the sign of a bigger problem? If I work for someone who needs a 3rd party intermediary to hear my feedback for them, maybe I'm working for the wrong person?

If you had an AI that would optimize your health and performance by giving you step by step instructions on when to sleep, what to eat, what supplements to take, what exercise to do, etc. Would you follow it precisely or ignore it and have worse health and performance?

@girdley Looking at it from the other side, I've had many managers who supported me, that I learned from and that I loved working for who did not do regular 1on1s, but were always available when needed. I also felt empowered not managed so maybe we are talking about different things.
