The Liberal plan to revoke the charitable status of religious organizations is an assault on people of faith across Canada.
40% of the 85,600 charities in Canada are religious organizations.
These are organizations that feed the hungry, support the elderly, rally around people in crisis, provide addiction recovery services – and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
It is quite honestly disgusting that the Liberals would try to sneak in this unconscionable attack in a Finance Committee report, just before Parliament prorogued.
A Cardus study shows that if these charities lose their status, Canadians would lose $16.5B in services.
"And by the way, I say that as the guy who actually did lead Canada through the global financial crisis."
"I hear there's someone else claiming it was him."
"It was, of course, our government, the late, great Jim Flaherty, and our Conservative team who were responsible for the day to day macroeconomic management during that challenging time."
"But the bulk of the problems that afflict our country, falling living standards, declining employment and housing opportunities, rising crime, the growing divisions between our regions and our people, these were not created by Donald Trump."
"They were created by the policies of three Liberal terms. Policies that the present Prime Minister supported and wants a fourth Liberal term to continue.

Smith sends a scathing message to the Carney & the Libs in Ottawa & says there's only one real choice for Prime Minister in Canada: Pierre Poilievre.
