Dave Grohl rant was utterly moronic and counterproductive, as was the supportive in-stadium reaction.
1) She’s built her career on playing live (and, yes, making some ERRORS) even when it meant taking heat from critics. So the implication is bizarre.
2)I know she’s “pop,” but she’s also a prolific songwriter who’s long made honest music with real instruments. So she’s neither a soulless pop act nor the “enemy” of a traditional rock band. Even if you have that middle school “pop is lame” mentality, someone like Taylor should be exempt. She’s “one of the good ones.”
3) Her Eras Tour is a music-first, cardio-intensive masterclass that inherently warrants respect from fellow performers. It has also ignited a new level of interest in a live stadium music experience across so different demographics, thereby making true “rock concerts” even more appealing. Bands that want to play long, elaborate, high-energy shows with MUSIC as the centerpiece benefit from the success of The Eras Tour.
If you’re a highly sensitive person and have an iWatch, which band do you wear? I had the silicone one but I’m allergic to the clasp. I just got the Nylon one and can’t stand it 🫠
