Been there, still doing that ✋. Essentially if we touch a test file, we update it to @TestingLib. If we add new tests, we use Testing Library. We've also worked through updating Cypress tests with Cypress Testing Lib and it's been smooth sailing! ⛵️

@TheAmyCode Yes! My husband and I have 0 shared accounts or credit cards, & split agreed-upon expenses (groceries, dinner out, dog bills) right down the middle via monthly reconciliation and repayment process. We split rent according to an earnings ratio. My parents do not understand 🤷‍♀️

No kids, but graphic design background here and let me tell you, understanding patterns & being able to make a large something from lots of little somethings has helped me the most in my dev career and is 100% because of my creative hobbies and experiences.

This is really important when thinking about your own privilege. I don't think I would have ever considered a career switch or picked a totally useless (but meaningful!) college degree without this security.

having a stable childhood is a professional privilege I don't see discussed much. if you've been alone, or hungry, or afraid -- if affects you into adulthood. your life experiences feed into how resilient you are to change, how safe you feel, how much risk you can take.

Do you ever have one of those days where you decide to dig into some really basic documentation about code you use everyday and then your mind is blown by all these assumptions you had and now you know WHY things work? Yeah, that's me today.

- Learned what a trigram is
- Made trigrams possible in my Rails/Postgres app
- Successfully fixed dupe record creation and made a better search algorithm 🤯

If you haven't already done this, make 2020 the year you start adding accessibility descriptions to your Twitter images. Enable it on the site in Settings > Accessibility > Compose Image Descriptions. It works great in the app too, and makes a huge difference to folks! ✨
