Hallelujah! It only took 2 months of me calling IT every week to finally reach the right person who’d give me permanent admin access on my new work computer so I can stop bugging them every time I need to update my non-standard software which is frequent.

@DScapusio The new M1 macbooks have network log ins and are controlled much more granularly... so admin password changes every 7 days ... and im technically not a developer, so when they'd ask, i'd say no, i'm not, and thus I wouldn't get admin privileges ... I'm glad i got it!
