This is the country the gun industry has created. And too many Americans are shot because of it.
On this day in 1999, 12 students and one teacher were shot and killed and 21 more people were wounded at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.

Now, an entire generation of students are traumatized by shootings and active shooter drills. As we remember the lives lost, we can never give up in the fight against gun violence.
