@JGordonBramer For some people, snarky rude comments are their only happiness. It's like they live for the bad vibes and misery they generate. Kind of like vampires.
@Jimbloomy@GhostKasu I've put down so many novels because of this. I'm halfway through a gripping mystery, happily dissociating from reality, and a character mentions Trump. Or any other contentious topic pulled right out of the reality I was hoping to escape from. There's a time and a place, people.
@DNicholsAuthor From my publisher: "One of the best books we've had submitted. I have nothing negative to say about this. The story is gripping, the characters are three dimensional, the dialogue reads naturally and the pacing is good."
I'm still giddy from that.
@elanorbanks Yes, of course! If your characters live rent-free in your head and you can't escape the universe you created, even when you haven't written a word in months, then you're a writer. There's no going back now.
@ianamikagautam No. AI, by definition, is soulless, so why would anyone want to read soulless prose? It also plagiarizes what's already out there, so you end up with generic, intensely boring stories that all sound the same. It's great for mundane, low-dopamine tasks, though.
