Did Lucho go off injured at the end?

[David Arrowsmith @mrwriterman79]

Lucho benched.

Deossa benched.

At least Suárez has scored (again) for Sporting.

So many amazing photos & videos on my timeline today, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Diego Maradona’s debut as a professional footballer (the youngest ever in the Argentine top division at the time), coming on as a sub for Argentinos Juniors. Read more in Killing Maradona.

El Pelusa came on in the second half as a sub, first touch was a successful nutmeg, couldn’t quite help his side turn the result around but showed plenty of promise and potential. 15 yrs old. A star was born.

Matías Orozco is another one to watch.

Such an exciting crop of young Colombian talent coming through from those excellent u17 and u20 sides…

🇨🇴 Brighton Loan Watch | Matías Orozco: Wonderkid makes breakthrough ➡️ Coach predicts Bellingham-level future

⭐️ Long read which should get #BHAFC fans excited
💬 "I told him, ‘You’re the Colombian Bellingham.’ You go up and down, you score goals, you’re technical."
💬 "He loves that, and he’s going to be as great as him. He’s going to be one of the best players in Colombian football history. He’s going straight to the top."

José Escorcia - remember that name.

Surely the next big export from Medellín to Europe (perhaps after Rengifo) and a future star for Colombia.

❤️⚽️🇨🇴

[Colombian Fútbol Report 🇨🇴 @ColFootyReport]

José Escorcia made his professional debut for Atlético Nacional today vs Boyacá Chicó! The star player for the U17 Colombia National Team provided this assist on his professional debut! Top talent. 🇨🇴👏

[David Arrowsmith @mrwriterman79]

@colombiafootyt He already looked ready for the men’s game while crushing it with the u17s, you could just see he had not just the ability but the physical attributes to thrive at the top level. Agree, excited to see him develop - the sky’s the limit!

[David Arrowsmith @mrwriterman79]

Escorcia with an assist on his debut off the bench for Atlético Nacional?

The kid is lightning in a bottle.

Looked so, so good in a brilliant Colombia u17 side - top scorer & MVP (4g, 2a) as they won the CONMEBOL Sub-17 tournament (goal + assist in 4-0 final vs Argentina).
