Friends, today is pub day for the wonderful FALLING FOR YOU AGAIN by @kerrylonsdale. Kerry is undergoing immense personal tragedy and will be unable to promote this book. If you buy one book this New Book Tuesday, this should be it. You will be rewarded with an amazing read!
On Friday the 13th, I did something I've never done before--gotten the month wrong for an event and not realized the mistake until I was standing in front of the theater, ready to share with David Sedaris how I came upon his book Theft by Finding via theft by finding.
Belated posting of the Really Big Celebration for Bill and my recent Really Big Birthdays. As usual, our advanced age did not stop us from having a blast!
The highlight of my day last night! In which I finally send (climb clean) my second 5.11, and Coach Jacob says, "Do you want to steal the tag?" And I say, "What d'you mean?"
Fun weekend that started with Thursday night and Five for Fighting before moving on to East and West Burke, and Lyndon, Vt. and friends and glorious views biking up, up, up.
A trifecta of firsts! First time using my passport, first visit to Old Quebec, and first time zip lining over Montmorency Falls, or anywhere. I loved it!
Big congrats to @_susandrew on the publication of her first picture book. She's the woman beaming on the right after a super-fun library event. Cheers to the success of Sadie Does Not Like Sorries!
Most excellent weather and company for a Saturday hike with the DH--pictured--and not-pictured hiking buddies. Mount Monadnock Dublin Trail to the summit and panoramic views. Then we had to stop for maple creemees and a silly photo at the brand-new Maple Station in Temple. Yum!
I graduated from the tandem bike--which is still super fun--to a bike on my own. A mountain bike for riding gravel. I wasn't sure. It had been years since I'd ridden a single-person bike. But it turns out riding a bike again is just like riding a bike. Plus, ice cream!
