@spiritwriter66 Yep, even if like me you are 65 and every evening after finishing work at said school you have to go and see 90 year old mother. But that is ok because she is living alone and in my bubble and I don't need my pension until I am 66. I hate them.

Help needed, my mum is 90 in August, she is totally different to me and enjoys being the centre of attention, in normal circumstances I would have organised a party, but I really don't know what it is safe or legal to do, any ideas?

@jpjanson I just thought I should put my money where my mouth is, even though I couldn't really afford it. They probably won't need my little bit of money now so I will probably go. I will still vote Labour though it is always the least worse alternative, but I do feel a bit sad.

Maybe we should just do it ourselves, everyone who can afford to and not doing something vital, phones in sick tomorrow. All parents who can take their kids off school, do so? It wouldn't be a total lockdown, but surely it would make a big difference, much less social contact?

Maybe some of those packing their Chelsea tractors with enough loo paper to last until the next century, could have paid a bit more tax and ensured the NHS had a ventilator available so they could see in next year.

Advice please, my 89 year old mum has recently had a couple of falls (she has severe osteoporosis) so we bought her one of those fall alarm systems. She is now insisting she only needs to wear at night (both falls were in daytime) is there an argument I can use to persuade her?
