Recreating my childhood in #dressmaker

One thing most people don’t know about disability is how unsafe you feel ALL the time.

It’s terrifying not being able to trust your body to function properly.

It’s scary to need to rely on others for basic survival.

It’s frightening watching society label you expendable.

There is so much to dig into in how Canada's battered media is covering the disaster at CFB Wainwright.

We *still* don't have an answer for why media reported 7 deaths and then kind of walked that back when Carney announced 4 ...

[Graham Holloway, MACP. @GhollowayMA94]

No, Patrick, personal disgust is not sufficient grounds for bans or censorship. Banning or censoring sexual material simply because you are disgusted by it is authoritarian and sets a dangerous precedent that turns personal preference into state censorship.

"When I say I'm anti-censorship I mean I'm against the censorship of minorities and revolutionaries, NOT the low hanging fruit trojan horse governments will use to jail and abuse those same minorities and revolutionaries while I cheer like a useful idiot. Get it right!"

Among all the other stuff, people apparently don't appreciate how grievous it is to put someone in prison for just one year, let alone two or three. Prison is serious and even the lowest penalties should be reserved for serious violations of other people's most certain rights.

I'm sorry Prudence, I can't recreate a Van Gogh for you. I hope you still enjoy the beautiful flowers. I spent so long on this my eyes got tired, and I swear the gradient looked much better before the flowers...but I tried! #dressmaker

[Pixie @LORElitaPixie]

Every time I say this comic nerds get really mad at me but the reason manga took off so hard and American comics are dying is because a manga series starts at vol 1 and goes to vol 2 and then vol 3
