OKAY GUYS you do have to read Between Friends & Lovers by Shirlene Obuobi. Characters in their late twenties, very well written romance and great communication between characters. plssss read it

the mediocrity of the romance genre started when authors stopped writing actual scenes of the characters spending time with each other and started writing a sentence in the passing about it. i don’t want one sentence. i want an entire scene omg
