Ever since I finished watching“Carrie (2026)” on Amazon, it’s been on my mind. So tonight, I'm revisiting De Palma's “Carrie (1976).” As a child, the film directors who served as my mentors through the education I received from my parents were Kubrick, Hitchcock, and Kurosawa. Once I was old enough to go to the movies on my own, my heroes during my teenage years were De Palma, Carpenter, and Argento.
My wife and I share the same youtube account and she was mocking me for all the malfoid content I was watching and I said "yes, I like content about a mean girl who makes fun of the guy she secretly likes" and she literally did this
Given that twilight was originally a Harry Potter fanfic I hope that the next big set of romantasy movie are just a malfoid fic with the serial plates filed off
Maybe a hot take:
I believe ALL art has the right to exist. If I don’t like a certain piece, I will just look away and never advocate to ban it just because I personally got offended by it, in fact I will defend it’s right to exist just because I detest censorship more
One thing I have noticed with the Malfoid trend is that it’s started its own pseudo-renaissance.
It started with some beautiful artwork and then evolved into stories and literary breakdowns. Now we’re getting contemporary classical music to go along with it
We are so back
