I have a question for both Genshin and WuWa players:

Without being toxic or tribalistic, what makes Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves stand out to you? Instead of bringing the other game down, I want people to take a moment and explain what their game does well. What you enjoy, what you absolutely love.

For me?

Genshin Impact has an incredible story and narrative, with a lore-rich world. It feels lived-in, it feels expansive, and it feels like the regions have a purpose. Its characters have depth, they're interwoven into every story told, and provide a lot of impact to the storytelling. It has a world filled with things to explore, things to find, and meaning behind their existence. Elemental reactions also allow you to combo different characters together and open up a lot of synergy that you wouldn't think exists upon first inspection.

Wuthering Waves is beautiful, stunning - its world, its characters, every single thing about this game seems to innovate and elevate anything it did just months before. Traversal feels so freeing and limitless, flight, wall-running, grappling, motorcycling, all without the need to pull for characters. They're tied directly into the game. Combat is ridiculously fast, expressive, and impactful. Every ability feels fine-tuned and unique, with forethought going into a lot of encounters before you even begin them.

There are so many things both of these games do well, and reasons they're both Gacha games beloved by their respective communities.

Which is why again, I'm genuinely curious what each community truly loves about their game. Let us all know down below! Let's spark some positive discussions!!!

Hay una fase en la vida de muchos gachas que me da bastante miedo reconocer y empiezo a sentir que WuWa está entrando en ella.

Yo la llamo "modo mantenimiento".

Después de tantos años jugando gachas es un patrón que ya he vivido varias veces: el juego sale, regalan de todo, llegan parches increíbles, mejoras constantes, "devs listened", etc. y todo está enfocado a conseguir una comunidad y hacer que quieras quedarte.

Pero, al menos en los gachas donde yo he vivido esta etapa, llega un momento en el que empiezas a notar pequeños cambios: versiones más rutinarias, menos novedades y recompensas que poco a poco se van reduciendo.

Llevo un par de versiones en las que apenas siento motivación por jugar, entro, hago lo necesario, gasto la energía y poco más. Con la llegada de la nueva región es cuando más lo he notado.

El directo de hoy tampoco ha ayudado. Quitando a Hsin, el modo fotografía y algunos QoL, el resto me ha dejado bastante frío.

Me cuesta admitirlo porque llevo jugando desde el día uno, pero precisamente por eso puedo comparar cómo me sentía jugando al principio y cómo me siento ahora

Y justo porque me gusta WuWa me preocupa tener esta sensación. Si alguna vez me quejo o soy crítico con el juego es porque quiero verlo mejorar, no porque quiera verlo fracasar.

Ojalá simplemente sea una mala racha de versiones y dentro de unos meses pueda volver a este post y decir que estaba equivocado.

@Wuthering_Waves An entire 3.6 without shit to do, waiting for a dope 3.7 to get hit with bullshit, barely any combat events, character reruns that are not fucking needed, and paywalling SK, Carlotta, and Phoebe (which no one is pulling for especially without her weapon). Wtf is Kuro doing?!?!?!?
