@fidsta77 Give him time. Universities will want HIM. Exams are difficult!!8 title hundreds of kids every year and some don’t get what they want - but he did it- he gave his all. We’re all proud of him. You just be hurting too. Look after yourself; both of you.
@TomD3SG Just send a copy is &50- whoops! Asked chat GPT for a copy of your missing page and it’s given me a summary. Try Claud ai, as that’s the academic AI 😉
@educator4ever36 They took 6wks to sign me onto an ECT programme-they thought they could do it in-house. Farce. They’ve been in consultation for the last 3 years. I hope they close. Terrible. The kids deserved better. God forbid I had high expectations, or ANY expecting for those kids!
@educator4ever36 I was the fall guy for sure. Other classes have 8-12 kids in them! No wonder 14 staff left the year before!!!! I didn’t know any of this before starting.
@educator4ever36 Everytime I did it was “Laura- I just need the parents on side’” ... Laura…why give them Y3-4 spellings? That’s too hard; what are you doing?”… “Laura… I’ll look at getting you some help post-Xmas, I just need to get my feel under the table” - union didn’t do a thing either.
@JuliaIsAWoman@EmSilverwood91 100% this- we do what mums do- PLAN AHEAD! MAKE IT WORK! (I’m also disabled and have huge social
Anxiety- I’m practically agoraphobic, but I still made it!
@EmSilverwood91@JuliaIsAWoman In freelance (tutor) I just book off that time when we get the date and time (way in advance). I make sure I have 1 hour either way. I’m not flush with money, but there’s only 7 sports days u too we won’t be invited to see them in action - 7 days in 7 years 🙄
@MrReggieCousins@Mathew_Lynch44 I really felt sorry for the other candidates- it took 2 minutes of their day and I’d been there all day.
We spend hours or days researching and prepping - we know these schools off by heart when we get there. We already feel ‘like one of them’.
@MrReggieCousins@Mathew_Lynch44 It happened to me once - I was gutted & exhausted! I had to keep reminding myself that too. I remember 2 of the schools called when I was a very close 2nd, “so we thought we’d call you to let you know how close you were-even though we ‘don’t usually call people like this…” 🙄
@jenteach13 Yes- the first words after I said is that x’s mum were‘what’s he done now?’ - she ended the call saying he’ll treat him to whatever he wanted for dinner. He increased his reading age by 6 years- I was so proud of him!
