My wife and I just finished a two year senior mission in SLC as welfare and self reliance specialists.
We met so many wonderful people.
We felt the Spirit of God.
We learned so much about serving our brothers and sisters. ❤️

Because I have been given much I too must give
Because of thy great bounty Lord each day I live
I shall divide my gifts from thee
With every brother that I see
Who has the need of help from me
Jews lined the road
With palms of green
And cried “Hosanna,
Behold the King!”
With hopeful hearts
And lifted hands
They sang and thought
Redeem our lands
The palms they waved
Spoke victory near
Of thrones restored
And no more fear
His crown would come
Atonement He gave
Through love alone
Not sword nor blade. ❤️
HOW DID THE SPIRIT MOVE YOU LAST WEEK?
My wife and I are serving as LDS senior service missionaries. Last Saturday, the ward we are serving in celebrated their 177 year anniversary with dinner and a fun carnival. Yes, not a typo. 177 years. Ward established in 1849.
I noticed a man sitting by himself in the back at a table all by himself. I invited him to join us. We learned so much about him and his family while chatting. He seemed to glow with enthusiasm talking about his family and the Old Testament.
Another experience happened last Sunday. We went to our daughter’s ward, I noticed a couple in the back sitting by themselves. They didn’t take the sacrament, but I didn’t judge.
After sacrament meeting was over the Spirit prodded me to go talk with them. (I resisted at first thinking, I’m with my family and I don’t know them).
The Spirit reminded me that I do know them. They are my spirit brother and sister. My legs popped up from the chair and I went over and introduced myself. Their countenance changed as they talked about their kids and life. I made more friends that day! ❤️
I invite us to remember that perhaps the most repeated line in all of scripture is “It came to pass.” Painful days do pass. It might seem that they won’t, but they do. No regret is forever. No disappointment is fatal or final. No mistake is beyond remedy.
Be faithful. Stand steady. Believe in what God intends for you personally. If you will persevere throughout your life and be true to what you stand for, I promise you your future will unfold as God intended it. It will be very bright indeed.
