Why am I crying? Iโm crying bc Iโm bipolar. There is simply no other reason Iโm crying. I cry bc I feel like shit but there is NOTHING to be sad about. Itโs just my brain not working properly.
I finally found out the source of the pain in my shoulder. Did you know our first rib is in our shoulder? The good news is itโs nothing serious and will be easy to treat. Iโm still doing another MRI to check everything. But Iโm happy that Iโll be back to the gym next week!
It's funny how a single medication can improve my mood so much. I truly have a chemical imbalance in my brain. Just 1 pill a day can shift my mood from ok to fantastic. Thank God I have access to psychiatric medication ๐
@arthurcazevedo Of course I remember you! It's good to hear you got a diagnosis. When you know what you have, it gets easier to treat it. But yeah, psychiatric disorders suck like that. I experience impairment in basic aspects of my life, like attention and motor skills, all bc of meds and BD.
My bipolar disorder gave me cognitive impairment and it sucks. I used to be so so so smart when I was younger, before the start of my bipolar disorder. But with the episodes and natural course of the disorder, I lost a lot of that. I can see the changes of cognitive function.
I'm starting to do something that is helping me a ton: I add EVERYTHING I have to do in a to-do list. Even things like "Reply this text" or "Organize my room." By the end of the week, there are so many things on the "done" side that I feel like I've been productive.
It's funny bc I only realize I have a lot of knowledge in my field when I start talking to people who don't understand a single thing about psychology ๐
I donโt drink, I donโt do drugs, I donโt smoke, I sleep well, I exercise, I have a routine, I take my meds, I see a therapist, I pursue healthy relationships, and yet I AM STILL FUCKING MENTALLY ILL. What the fuck else should I do?! This pisses me off so much.
I ask myself what did I do to deserve this. Iโm a good person, why do I have to suffer so much? And itโs the worst suffering imaginable. I canโt put into words how painful my episodes are. I thought I was feeling better, but here I am back to square one.
