@MRobertsQLD My grandfather had indoor modern plumbing, ate a good 1950s diet and was a farmer on his lovely "posh" QLD farm. Still got polio at 36 and died. He wouldn't have died if it had been a few years later and he'd had the vaccine.
@PatriciaHeaton Well maybe that's because they weren't fascists or dangerous or a threat to democracy. (Or rapists or racists or misogynists or malignant narcissists).
@TheOrangeCatBad@FaithDa20605778@GeriPerna Do you not believe that Kamala Harris's qualifications are real. Or do you think degrees in politics and economics & then a Juris Doctor (aka law) are not adequate? I guess her various positions as DA & assist DA & time as a senator mean nothing. & your qual? Apart from troll?
@KathleenLenkeit@MFWitches Actually the post was saying what a #shithole country the USA is by explaining how much better other countries are re. Universal healthcare. You responded with an anecdote about how personally lucky U R (with obvs good insurance). That is not the case for many in your country.
@maria_leah385@NKumari2233@TheGriftReport He'd been drinking.
He fell asleep while eating a sandwich and choked.
His poor mother tried to resuscitate him.
She couldn't and
He suffered a catastrophic brain injury.
It is a horrible tragedy.
That's the story.
Now be quiet.
I
@KathleenLenkeit@MFWitches Another "oh that didn't happen to me so ......" person. The point is that a huge proportion of your citizens have medical debt. Often bankrupting amounts. That's not ok even if it doesn't affect you. #empathy#universalhealthcare
@ImBreckWorsham Choosing the wrong job or boyfriend is different from knowingly choosing a candidate with despicable morals & ethics. You knew he was a grifter, a rapist, a racist, a faux Christian etc etc & still you chose him. What's different about him now? He's still all those things.
@NotAvgLiberal A Posse of pricks
A Posse of pathologically poisonous pricks
A Posse of perversely petulant pricks
A Posse of perjuriously plunderous pricks
I could go on but it's painful how many negative words can fit the bill.
@EdKrassen@karasoth Not since she got married - she was very popular early on. Her fall in popularity is since she decided that she would dictate how she was going to do "Royal'. Royalty IS odd but she knew* what she signed up for. *Or should have
@EdKrassen Her only relevance is MAYBE as an actress. She married a Prince whose only relevance is as a working Royal who is perpetuating an aspect of UK culture. He quit. He's therefore of no relevance. They keep trying to be relevant. They really aren't. She also seems to be a narcissist.
@TraceyR86505616@davidnelson313@ProfessorPape Yes. But I wish chatgpt had different "voices". Human writing is far more interesting. I know it's just a summary but man it's jarring to see it EVERY WHERE.
@realMrChristie@MichelleRae_8@theonemanzone@danaparish I do a mix. Depends where I am. And I only don't because of "peer pressure". I have chronic health issues and to add completely unnecessary viruses on top is something I prefer not to do. I'm not "living in fear' - I'm living in "don't want to feel worse".
@realMrChristie@MichelleRae_8@theonemanzone@danaparish It's a very interesting and perplexing psychological trait isn't it? It must be something to do with it making them uncomfortable in some way. Almost like they know we are correct in trying to reduce risk but they aren't willing, so it makes them feel better to deride us. Sad ppl
