A third of global GHG emissions comes from #FoodSystems. Globally, 25–30% of total food produced is lost or wasted.

On #WorldFoodDay we're celebrating the global #FoodPactNetwork, which connects countries to scale climate-smart solutions and drive the systemic change needed to produce, share, and consume food – without waste. 🌏

So far, 10 Pacts across 9 countries have committed to working together. And despite exchanging learnings that can be adapted and applied locally, we’re all aligned with one global target: to support the @UN's Sustainable Development Goal 12.3 and halve global food waste by 2030.

The Food Pact Network’s cross-border approach is:

▪️ Efficient and scalable: from Mexico to New Zealand, South Africa to Indonesia, members are seeing faster progress through proven solutions that are tried and tested by other countries.

Only through #CollaborativeAction can we future-proof our food.

By using our precious resources more intelligently we can create a world with higher standards of living — tackling climate change, protecting nature, and reducing inequality.
