I’d like to run a small experiment with everyone.
I’ve noticed something that I can’t quite explain.
Many of my science and medicine threads receive a healthy number of “shares,” but when I visit some of the accounts listed as having shared them, I often can’t find the thread anywhere on their timeline.
It could be a perfectly ordinary explanation… or it could be a quirk of how X reports engagement.
Would you help me test it?
1️⃣ If you find one of my threads worth sharing, please repost it.
2️⃣ Then check your own profile to confirm it actually appears on your timeline.
3️⃣ Let me know in the comments whether it does—or doesn’t.
I’m not looking to prove anything. I’m simply trying to understand how the platform is behaving. If something unusual is happening, it would be useful to document it carefully rather than speculate.
Thanks for helping with a little citizen science experiment.
Here's a video of one of our LES simulations with @brunhofraga showing expiratory particle dispersion during speaking in a room with uniform temperature of 20C. Our paper discussing this and the effects of thermal stratification will be out soon!
The cure for ignorance is not information. It's humility and curiosity.
Facts can be easily dismissed. What motivates people to gain insight is recognizing gaps in their understanding and wanting to find out more.
The root of lifelong learning is knowing how little we know.
@PeteUK7 I see the BBC article only mentions surfaces. Here is a Swedish 🇸🇪 study from Alsved et al. on #airborne#norovirus in hospital outbreaks. Includes size characterisation of particles containing #NoV#IAQ https://t.co/pYH6WsHJEN

“We’re disappointed to see global brands like @RenaultIndia, @Kia_Worldwide & @Maruti_Corp offer low safety performance in markets like South Africa whilst achieving much higher protection levels in other global markets. Don’t African consumers deserve the same level of safety?”
Most leaders value loyalty. Great leaders put a higher premium on integrity.
Loyalty is allegiance to power. You're expected to show deference and follow orders.
Integrity is allegiance to principles. You're expected to challenge orders that violate your mission or values.
The goal is not finding a "perfect" spouse who will make you happy. It's becoming your best self and sharing that growth journey with the partner you've chosen. Rescue your love life from unrealistic expectations, and you'll discover the true fulfillment that a mature, committed marriage can provide. READ MORE https://t.co/xgHydCN957
