The Alabama Barn Quilt Trail Committee, installed a new Quilt Design recently on the log barn inside the pioneer village at the LaGrange College Site Park In Colbert County, near Leighton, Alabama. Shown in the picture, displaying the Quilt: Louise and L C Lenz.

Charles Tait, a 5th Great Grandfather of Paul Jones, Leighton, AL, introduced a bill during 1817 in the U. S. Senate for Alabama to become a state. Senator Tait's table was donated to the LaGrange College Site by Mr. Jones. The table is an important to AL Statehood in 1819.

102 YEAR OLD, ROY MAY, SHEFFIELD, AL. VISITS THE LAGRANGE COLLEGE SITE'S OBSERVATORY DURING CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY 2017. Roy was instrumental during the early 1960's in establishing the Observatory at the College Site. Pictured on left of Roy is Eric Geater. 🙂
