@DavidMcNab17@meadwaj They bought bonds the Treasury *wanted* them to buy. You seem to forget the role MMT admits bonds play in encouraging saving by households & firms. Do you propose a Reform/US Rep style "eliminate all govt debt" policy? You know why MMT emphasises the importance of govt saving?
If I'd appointed a child sex offender to the role of "Youth & Students Officer", I probably wouldn't be out here policing the behaviour of other organisations, but that's just me.
