Southwest Airlines is getting airport lounges for the first time in its 55-year history. ✈️ The first four are under construction in Austin, Baltimore, Honolulu and Nashville, with guests expected in late 2027. At least seven more are planned. Southwest is building them with Chase, in the style of the Sapphire lounges. The catch: the only confirmed way in so far is a new premium Southwest card from Chase, launching in 2027. No word yet on A-List access, day passes or guest rules.
Here's everything we know so far, plus where Southwest flyers can relax in those four airports today 👇

100+ people. 80 minutes. And they weren’t waiting for TSA. 😳
They were waiting to get INTO Delta’s “premium” lounge at LaGuardia. The line got so long it stretched all the way to the airport chapel. Travelers joked they’d find more peace and quiet praying than inside the club.
The craziest part? This is Delta’s BIGGEST Sky Club in the entire country. 35,000 square feet. 700+ seats. Still full. 🤯
If you’re paying hundreds a year for an Amex Platinum or Delta Reserve for “lounge access,” you need to read this. (Tip #4 could save you an hour next time you fly out of LGA.) 👇

JetBlue just had one of the strangest weeks in its history. ✈️👀
✅ Won 22 new LaGuardia slots from bankrupt Spirit — a $58.5M deal the FAA just approved
❌ Every single JetBlue flight on Oct 13 & 14 briefly vanished from its system, and some passengers were rebooked without asking
🤐 Its planned Fort Lauderdale–Caracas route quietly disappeared before tickets ever went on sale

Flying Asiana or holding Asiana Club miles? Mark your calendar. ✈️
Asiana leaves Star Alliance on Dec. 16, and Korean Air takes it over on Dec. 17. Star Alliance award tickets on Asiana have to be flown by then, and some programs need you to book and fly as early as Oct. 31. Asiana Club miles move to Korean Air’s SKYPASS at 1:1, and your status carries over too.
We cover which lounges you can use at Incheon now and what’s changing.
Are you moving your miles to SKYPASS, or using them up first?

Two Amex Centurion rules catch people out: your guest has to be on your flight, and on a layover you can’t get in until 5 hours before your connection. Here’s the full set of rules in one place.

The two-story Boston Logan Centurion Lounge, with an outdoor terrace, isn’t due until 2029. Charlotte gets a smaller Sidecar lounge and DFW grows by half, both in 2027. Here’s where to wait now.
