We have no choice. We spend so much time advocating for our babies. We face road blocks and then have to find alternative routes to take when the first direction didn’t work. #SpecialNeedsKids #advocatelikeamother

This is VERY important. I think one big support to have in programs with kids who have additional needs is , additional staff. We have aids in schools, we need aids in childcare programs. In addition, more requirements for training in the areas of Developmental Disabilities.

@loachbc @GovMikeDeWine With additional challenges that unless you don’t actually walk in the shoes of other parents , you truly don’t understand. Our kids need more visual, sensory, and other supports . It’s not a parenting problem, it’s a developmental problem within our kids brain.

@GovMikeDeWine We need more supports in these programs. And I will always advocate for this even when they outgrow the program. My son has autism/combined adhd/add and mixed expressive and receptive language delays. Along with complex congenital heart disease (Single ventricle heart).

@GovMikeDeWine I lost care for my youngest due to challenging behaviors that the staff couldn’t deal with. I relied on our local ymca and all they did was isolate , and yell at him . Never got an apology, he’s survived three open heart surgeries and is autistic .We need this
