How My Neighbor’s Lifestyle Almost Got Me Arrested at 2:30 AM Last Night!
I was completely shaken by what happened.

We live in a compound here in Port Harcourt. One of our neighbors, Chilaka, is a content creator who constantly brings different girls to his apartment. He changes them like he changes clothes.

On top of that, he is a chronic weed smoker who associates with all kinds of rough characters and unfamiliar faces in the area.

Because of the constant crowd coming in and out, we decided to install a jam lock on the gate so every tenant could have their own key for security.

Chilaka was the first to lose his key after just one month. His rough friends started entering the compound freely. We held a general meeting and warned him sternly. He appeared to caution them, and their visits reduced for a while.

But it didn’t stop there. He began filming his videos inside the compound, making loud noises and disturbing other tenants. When the caretaker tried to address it, his crew joined him in threatening the caretaker and even challenged him to a fight. Fear gripped everyone in the compound. Eventually, the landlord served him an eviction notice.

The situation reached a breaking point last night. Around 12 midnight, some cult boys came banging on our gate, almost breaking it down, demanding Chilaka. We refused to open at first. They threatened us and claimed that Chilaka had taken a 16-year-old girl into his house and must release her.

The situation escalated, so they called the police. That’s when we opened the gate. The police arrested Chilaka, the caretaker, myself, and other male tenants. It was already 2:30 AM. They conducted a thorough search but found nothing. They released the rest of us but detained Chilaka and his girlfriend.

This morning, we went to the station as instructed. There, we were informed that the missing girl had been found safe and she had never even stepped foot in Chilaka’s house! The police discharged us.

What a relief! That’s how we narrowly escaped that ordeal...
