@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 Socialism doesn’t penalize success. Plenty millionaires and billionaires & a growing middle class in China. But the govt reminds the wealthy that they ultimately serve the well-being of all of China’s people.
Our U.S. Supreme Court ruled that corporations are people. Priorities.
@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 I promise, there are plenty of entrepreneurs and creative folks thriving in China and Vietnam. Have you heard of Shenzhen, China? No is treated like they’re stupid.
@AtheistsRead @ComradeHeather China has carefully constructed a socialist market economy, a system in which a dominant sector of state-owned enterprises co-exists with market capitalism and private ownership.
@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 Friend, I don’t have anything snarky to say here. Just hope that you can open yourself to learn about what socialism is. You mentioned scummy govt leaders getting rich, while U.S. Senate & House members *magically* are the luckiest / most successful investors in the world.
@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 Actually, I’d like to invite you to read about the successes & growth of Salvador Allende’s Chile, before the violent coup which the U.S. openly staged against him. https://t.co/PSwoANEb78
@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 Have you traveled to Vietnam recently? I have. Several times. Millions have been lifted out of poverty, rapidly. Homelessness: non-issue. Price-gouging: non-issue. Govt: cohesively focused on developing & supporting the people.
@JM007700 @1WhiteRabbitt@mcsquared34 Billionaires — Køch or Sørøs or the many you’ll NEVER hear of — serve billionaire interests. It’s their collective & individual interest to quietly influence news & public perception by leveraging ad dollars & mega-nonprofits, while we’re distracted by partisanship & consumerism.
@roblpierce@1WhiteRabbitt@MarkLawless2@mcsquared34 The center, the right, AND 75% of the left place their faith in capitalism, & act from the belief that a good system = capitalism = democracy. Billionaires serve billionaire interests; so they happily fund PBS to neutralize any clear deep perception of the ills of capitalism.
@roblpierce@1WhiteRabbitt@MarkLawless2@mcsquared34 The PBS target audience are folks who want to *perceive* neutrality in news, + maturity in debates & deep-dives. Follow the money honey. PBS, in its tranquil mature vibe, doesn’t seriously confront the sick/violent/destructive reality of capitalism. Some OK documentaries tho.
